MAN CHARGED WITH CHILD IMAGE OFFENCES AT WEYMOUTH MAGISTRATES COURT
Frederic Oosthuizen, a 22-year-old man from Weymouth, has been charged with multiple offences related to indecent images of minors.He appeared at Weymouth Magistrates Court on August 31, 2025, where he faced allegations of possessing 245 illegal images of a child and producing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a minor.
The charges relate to offences believed to have occurred between August 2020 and May 2021.
The court was informed that Oosthuizen is accused of producing 26 images in category A (the most serious), 11 in category B, and 34 in category C.
He was also charged with possessing prohibited images of a child.
Oosthuizen did not enter a plea to any of the charges and was remanded in custody.
The magistrates ordered a psychological report to be prepared before his next court appearance.
He was released on unconditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on October 2, 2025.
