WESTHOUGHTON MAN JAILED FOR CONTROLLING AND STALKING PARTNER
A man named Franco Lucci, aged 33, from Westhoughton, was found to have committed controlling and coercive behaviour against his partner, Stephanie Boardman, from Leigh.
Over a prolonged period, Lucci verbally abused her, calling her derogatory names such as "s**g" and accusing her of cheating.
He also engaged in stalking activities including throwing her phone against a wall, damaging her devices, and placing trackers in her phone and car.
Lucci activated a Google Maps tracker and recorded her using a hidden device in their home for up to 12 hours.
He believed she was cheating on him and kept her under constant surveillance.
After Ms Boardman ended the relationship and left in February 2024, she reported the abuse to police.
Following his arrest and a plea of guilty, Lucci was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court to 20 months imprisonment, suspended for two years, and ordered to undertake 20 rehabilitation days, with a five-month curfew and a £250 fine.
Additionally, he was given a 10-year restraining order, prohibiting him from approaching within 50 metres of her residence.
The judge described his behaviour as "insidious and pernicious" and noted the use of tracking and recording devices against her.
