ADMITTED CAUSING A DOG NAMED BUSTER UNNECESSARY SUFFERING BY FEEDING IT MEDICATION

A 19-year-old individual from the Borders region has pleaded guilty to inflicting unnecessary suffering on a dog named Buster by administering medication that made the animal unwell.

Ethan Graham stated that he believed he heard a voice instructing him to carry out the act after being left alone with the family pet at their residence in Yarrowford last November.

However, it was reported to Selkirk Sheriff Court that Buster received treatment from a veterinarian and did not suffer long-term damage.

Subsequently, Graham was fined a total of £210 and received a five-year ban from owning or keeping any animals.

    This is my son, and buster belongs to kirsty and i. Ethan was on strong medication and wasn't thinking right. He regrets this so much, he has punished himself non stop for this. Ethan is a great person who we all love dearly. We don't blame him whatsoever. Whoever is pretending to be my partner kirsty is out of order. Kirsty was adamant he was to get help not punished. This site could push people to self deletion. There is always context. This site needs better regulation as it could ruin good people over things out with their control. I want this taken down. It was our dog, we know it wasn't done on purpose. Again context in this case is so important.
