ERICKSON JACOB FROM HENLEY SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON YOUNG GIRLS
In a case that has shocked the community of Henley, Erickson Jacob, a resident of Gravel Hill, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of multiple serious sexual offenses involving young girls.The conviction was handed down at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday, July 11, following a comprehensive six-day trial that examined the disturbing allegations against him.
Jacob, aged 44, faced a jury that reached a unanimous verdict, convicting him on four counts of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
Additionally, he was found guilty of one count of sexual assault of a child under 13 by penetration, a particularly grave charge indicating a severe breach of trust and innocence.
The jury also convicted him of inciting or causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, further highlighting the extent of his alleged misconduct.
During the trial, it was established that Jacob had sexually assaulted three young girls, whose identities are protected by law to prevent further trauma or identification.
These assaults reportedly took place over the period of 2011 and 2012, raising concerns about the safety and well-being of children in the Henley area during that time.
Following his arrest in December 2015, Jacob was charged by police approximately 11 months later, marking a significant step in the pursuit of justice for the victims.
Despite the multiple convictions, Jacob was acquitted of one additional count of sexual assault involving a fourth girl, indicating that the evidence in that particular case was insufficient for a conviction.
The sentencing reflects the serious nature of the crimes and the court’s recognition of the harm inflicted upon the young victims.
