EMMANUEL ONWUBIKO'S SHOCKING SEXUAL ASSAULT IN WARRINGTON LEAVES TEENAGER DEVASTATED
In Warrington, a disturbing case of sexual assault has come to light involving Emmanuel Onwubiko, who was convicted of assaulting an 18-year-old girl last year. The incident has left the young woman deeply traumatized, prompting her to seek spiritual cleansing through baptism in an effort to regain her sense of purity and emotional stability.According to court proceedings, Onwubiko, then 35 years old, engaged in inappropriate and aggressive behavior towards the teenager. The court heard that he touched her breast and bottom without consent, and on two separate occasions, he forcibly grabbed her vagina. Additionally, he posed sexually explicit questions, further violating her personal boundaries. Despite denying the allegations during the trial, Onwubiko was found guilty on all five counts of sexual assault, a verdict that underscores the severity of his misconduct.
The young victim was so overwhelmed by the trauma that she took immediate action to seek spiritual relief. She researched online and managed to find a church willing to baptize her on short notice, believing that this act would serve as a form of emotional and spiritual cleansing, helping her cope with the distress and feelings of violation she experienced.
During the sentencing hearing, Judge Gary Woodhall addressed the court, emphasizing the gravity of Onwubiko’s actions. He sentenced him to two years in prison, mandated that he register as a sex offender for a decade, and imposed a ten-year restraining order to prevent any contact with the victim. The court also referenced a prior incident where Onwubiko was assaulted by the victim’s father, who received an 18-month prison sentence suspended for two years, highlighting a pattern of violence and misconduct.
The judge acknowledged the profound impact of the assault on the young woman, noting her declining mental health, recurring flashbacks, and feelings of disgust and desperation for spiritual cleansing. The court’s decision reflects the serious nature of the offense and its lasting effects on the victim’s well-being.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Onwubiko is currently seeking to extend his stay in the UK by applying for a post-graduate visa. He claims that he faces threats to his family if he does not repay a loan and plans to return to Nigeria. The court’s findings indicated that his inappropriate behavior was driven by sexual attraction from the outset, which caused significant fear and distress to the victim from the moment of the incident.
