ELVIS PRESLEY CAUGHT IN CARMARTHEN PAEDOPHILE PLOT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Carmarthen, a man named Elvis Aron Presley Jr was apprehended after attempting to meet a supposed 14-year-old girl for sexual activity. The incident unfolded after Presley engaged in a series of online communications with what he believed to be a young teenager, but in reality, he was speaking with a decoy operated by a paedophile hunter group.According to court reports, the grooming process began in December 2019 when a decoy account, claiming to be a 14-year-old girl, initiated contact with Presley on Instagram. The prosecution, led by Jim Davis, explained that the decoy first asked Presley if he was indeed Elvis Presley Jr, to which he confirmed affirmatively. Over the course of several days, their conversations became increasingly explicit, with Presley encouraging the decoy to perform sexual acts on herself and requesting a pair of her used, unwashed panties.
Further into their exchanges, Presley discussed the possibility of meeting in person at his flat in Carmarthen. On December 31, he talked about the girl coming to his residence, and arrangements were made for a meeting later that week. However, when Presley arrived at the designated meeting point in Carmarthen, he was promptly detained by members of the paedophile hunter group. Police were called to the scene, and a search of Presley’s nearby flat uncovered a collection of sex toys, including vibrators and Velcro handcuffs, stored in his bedroom.
Presley, who resides at Nott Square in Carmarthen, admitted to attempting to communicate sexually with a minor, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and attempting to meet a child after grooming her online. It is important to note that these charges are based on the 'attempt' of the offences, as no actual child was involved in the incident.
His criminal history includes a conviction from Southampton Magistrates’ Court in 2007 for sending indecent or offensive messages, as well as four counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14 from Norwich Crown Court in 2011. These previous offences relate to sexual assaults committed against a young girl in the 1980s. At the time of the Carmarthen incident, Presley was already on the sex offenders register due to his Norwich conviction.
Judge Paul Thomas QC addressed Presley’s actions, stating that he believed Presley thought he was communicating with a real 14-year-old girl and had made preparations to engage in sexual activity with her. Taking into account his guilty pleas, the judge sentenced Presley to 27 months in prison, with the possibility of serving up to half of that term before being released on licence. Additionally, Presley was subjected to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and will remain a registered sex offender for the same duration, reflecting the seriousness of his offences and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
