MAN JAILED FOR THE MURDER OF HIS FORMER PARTNER

A man has received a prison sentence for the killing of his ex-partner at their shared residence in Reading.

On September 7, 2025, authorities responded to reports of a stabbing at a property along London Road (A4).

When officers arrived that afternoon, they discovered Linner Sang, aged 39, who had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

Sang and Edwine Kiplangat, also 39, formerly cohabited at that address.

Kiplangat was detained the following day and formally charged on September 9, 2025.

During a court hearing at Reading Crown Court on May 22, he admitted to a single count of murder and two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm.

On July 3, he was given an 18-year and 8-month prison term.
