MAN JAILED FOR ATTACKING WOMAN WITH A KNIFE IN FRONT OF CHILD
David Clark, a 30-year-old resident of Rembrandt Way in Reading, admitted to committing one count of Actual Bodily Harm at Reading Crown Court on March 13, 2023.
Additionally, he pleaded guilty to a charge of affray at the same court on Monday, July 3.
He appeared again at the same court for sentencing on July 5, when he was sentenced to a total of two years and three months in prison.
The incident in question occurred on February 4, 2023, when the victim a woman in her twenties was assaulted while her young child was present.
During the attack, the woman was injured with several bruises, her clothing was torn, and Clark threatened her with a knife pressed against her throat, threatening to kill her.
Clark was detained by authorities on February 5, the day after the assault, and was formally charged the following day.
