LIVERPOOL MAN REMANDED OVER 21 CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A 20-year-old man named Dylan Matthews, residing on Elmcroft Close in Walton, made an appearance in court charged with 21 serious offences related to child sexual abuse.He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Saturday, August 9, and was ordered to be remanded in custody until his next hearing at Liverpool Crown Court scheduled for Monday, September 8.
The allegations against Matthews include crimes committed between July 2024 and July 2025, involving multiple minors.
The charges encompass rape, six counts of causing or inciting sexual activity with a child, nine counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child, distributing an indecent image of a child, sexual activity with a minor, and three counts of possessing indecent images of children.
Detective Sergeant Amie Jones emphasized the importance of reporting abuse, stating, “We urge anyone who is a victim of any form of sexual abuse to contact police.
We have specially trained officers who will handle cases with sensitivity and compassion.
We also collaborate with partner organizations like the Victim Care Support Service and RASA, which provide assistance to victims.
