RENTON MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSING THOUSANDS OF INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A man has pleaded guilty to possessing thousands of indecent images of children, including videos totaling nearly 24 hours.Dominic Watts, aged 30, from Tontine Park, Renton, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on August 26 to admit possession of the images and videos.
The police cyber crime unit found on his black Samsung mobile phone a total of 2,825 images, with 30 accessible still images, six of which were in the most serious category A.
Additionally, 1,897 images were inaccessible, with 579 of those in the most serious level.
There were also 637 videos accessible, with 380 in category A, and 261 inaccessible.
The videos cumulatively would amount to over 22 hours and 54 minutes, depicting male and female children aged from two to 14.
Watts pleaded guilty to charges spanning from October 15, 2023, to August 27, 2024.
