DEAN FORRESTER FROM CLIFTONVILLE AND THANET JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES
In a significant case that highlights ongoing efforts to combat child abuse, Dean Forrester, a resident of Cliftonville, was sentenced to prison after admitting to sexually abusing two young girls.The offences, which occurred in the Thanet area, specifically took place in November of the previous year, involving victims who were under the age of eight.
Forrester, who is 44 years old and unemployed, resides on Gordon Road in Cliftonville.
His arrest and subsequent court appearance drew considerable attention, culminating in a sentencing hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on a Friday.
During the proceedings, Forrester pleaded guilty to the charges, leading to a five-year prison term.
As part of his sentence, the court also mandated that his name will remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register for the rest of his life, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities post-release.
The case underscores the persistent threat posed by individuals who commit such heinous acts against vulnerable children.
