DAVID WADE FROM NORTHWICH TO BE SENTENCED FOR SEX OFFENSES AND INTERNET CONCEALMENT

In a case that has drawn significant attention in Northwich and the surrounding areas, David Wade, a known sex offender, is scheduled to face sentencing after a series of serious violations of court orders and criminal activities. Wade, who resides at Riverside Park in Northwich, had previously been subjected to a sexual harm prevention order issued by Chester Crown Court on August 20, 2018, a legal measure designed to restrict his activities and protect the community from potential harm.

The recent charges against Wade stem from a disturbing pattern of behavior that includes the downloading of indecent images of children. Investigations revealed that between December 19 of the previous year and February 1, 2022, Wade engaged in the illegal activity by using software to hide his internet search history, making it more difficult for authorities to track his online behavior. This concealment of digital footprints underscores the calculated nature of his actions and his attempt to evade detection.

Wade appeared before Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 30, where he pleaded guilty to multiple offenses. Among the charges was the allowance of a child to stay at his residence without informing the police, a violation that occurred between November 16 and December 16, 2021. This breach of protocol raises concerns about Wade’s compliance with court restrictions and his ongoing risk to the community.

Further complicating his case, Wade was found to possess three images classified as Category C, depicting children in sexualized contexts, on March 29. The possession of such material is a serious offense that highlights the ongoing threat he poses.

Additionally, authorities discovered that Wade had used a different device that was not equipped with internet search history capabilities during the period from June 9 to September 18, 2021. This deliberate choice to use a device without tracking features indicates an attempt to avoid detection and continue illicit activities.

Currently, Wade has been remanded in custody, and his sentencing is scheduled for July 29 at Chester Crown Court. The case continues to serve as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilant law enforcement and community awareness in addressing and preventing sexual offenses and related crimes.
