KING'S LYNN SERIAL PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR LONGER
A resident of King's Lynn has seen his prison term heightened after an appeal initiated by the Solicitor General, Rt Hon Lucy Frazer QC MP.David Nicholas Wilson, aged 36, admitted to committing 96 crimes, including acts of causing children to participate in sexual activities and blackmail.
He engaged in online sexual abuse of 52 boys, pretending to be young girls to coax, threaten, and blackmail victims into sending explicit photos and videos or performing sexual acts on others.
Wilson received a 25-year jail sentence with an additional eight years on licence at Ipswich Crown Court on 10 February 2021.
Following this ruling, the Solicitor General referred Wilson’s sentence to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.
On 27 May 2021, the Court of Appeal determined that the original sentence was insufficiently stringent and increased it to 28 years in prison, along with an eight-year licence period.
After the appeal, the Solicitor General commented, “Wilson caused harm to over 50 young boys, exploiting, abusing, and at times intimidating them.
I am pleased the Court of Appeal has chosen to tighten his sentence, which I hope will offer some resolution for his many victims.”
