NORFOLK SEX OFFENDER DOWNLOADED MORE THAN 1,000 INDECENT IMAGES
A man set up an online account with a woman's details before involving himself in online chats with other paedophiles and downloading more than 1,000 indecent images of children.Stuart Baker, 49, used false details to create the Yahoo account which police found was connected to the making and downloading of indecent images.
Norwich Crown Court heard officers executed a warrant in King's Lynn linked to devices they found had been downloading "illicit images of children".
The court was told that Baker had downloaded a total of 1,102 indecent images, including 376 still images and 726 moving images, with 538 categorized as most serious (category A).
Judge David Pugh sentenced Baker to eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of Rehabilitation Activity.
Baker was also given a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
His offending victims were aged between six and 18 months, suffering pain and distress.
