DAVID HORNE FROM MILTON KEYNES AND SIMPSON SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENSES AND INDECENT IMAGES
In a significant case that has shocked the local communities of Milton Keynes and Simpson, David Horne, a 43-year-old man, was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to a total of 22 criminal charges related to the sexual abuse of a minor and the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The proceedings took place at Amersham Crown Court, where Horne admitted to 18 counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, as well as four additional charges concerning the creation, possession, and dissemination of indecent images. The charges stem from a detailed investigation conducted by Thames Valley Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team.
The investigation was initiated in October 2011 when authorities executed a warrant at Horne’s residence in Warren Bank, Simpson, following information received from another law enforcement agency. During the search, officers seized Horne’s computers and digital devices for forensic analysis. The examination of these devices led to the identification of a child victim, who was subsequently interviewed by detectives.
The young victim disclosed that she had been subjected to abuse over a span of four years, starting from the age of 13. Her bravery in coming forward was acknowledged by Detective Inspector Laura MacInnes, who praised the efforts of the investigative team, including Detective Constables Sandra Tearney and Vicky Humphreys from the High Tech Crime Unit.
Inspector MacInnes expressed her hope that the sentencing would provide some measure of closure for the victim and her family, emphasizing the importance of thorough investigations in bringing offenders like Horne to justice. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable minors from harm.
