DAVID CAMERON KEIGHLEY SEXUAL ABUSE SCANDAL REVEALED IN BRADFORD COURT
In a case that has shocked the community of Keighley, a 48-year-old man named David Cameron has been found guilty of engaging in multiple sexual offenses involving two young girls. The proceedings took place at Bradford Crown Court, where Cameron was convicted of serious crimes committed against the minors, aged 13 and 15 at the time of the incidents.
According to court reports, Cameron, who resides on Bracken Bank Way in Keighley, went to considerable lengths to seduce one of his victims.
Evidence presented during the trial revealed that he arranged a romantic setting in his bathroom, complete with candles and rose petals, in an attempt to lure and manipulate the young girl.
This disturbing detail underscored the calculated nature of his misconduct.
The jury found Cameron guilty of engaging in sexual activity with the 13-year-old girl in 2009, on the grounds of a school in Keighley.
Prosecutor Giles Bridge detailed that Cameron had kissed the girl before engaging in sexual acts with her.
The court also heard that Cameron committed similar offenses against the second girl, then aged 15, at his home in 2011.
The evidence indicated that these acts occurred after the two had been drinking vodka and whisky, suggesting a pattern of predatory behavior under the influence of alcohol.
In total, Cameron was convicted of four separate counts of sexual activity involving the second girl.
However, the jury acquitted him of two additional allegations of sexual activity with a child and one charge of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, all related to the same victims.
The jury was unable to reach verdicts on four other similar charges, leading the judge to direct a verdict of not guilty on those counts.
During the trial, it was revealed that the 13-year-old girl had agreed to meet Cameron after an argument with her parents.
Following their encounter, Cameron warned her not to disclose what had happened, implying that her family could be harmed if she did.
The girl’s mother became suspicious when she overheard her daughter having inappropriate conversations with Cameron on her mobile phone.
The abuse involving the second girl was uncovered after a friend of hers reported the incidents to her mother and a learning mentor at her school, which prompted further investigation.
Judge Robert Bartfield remanded Cameron into custody immediately after the verdict, citing concerns that he might attempt to escape before sentencing.
Cameron is scheduled to be sentenced on April 22, pending a risk assessment by the probation service to determine the potential danger he poses to young women.
The court's decision underscores the severity of his crimes and the community’s need for justice and protection for vulnerable minors.
