DARRIN DAYKIN FROM SOUTHEND SENTENCED TO NEARLY 13 YEARS FOR CHILD RAPE AND SEXUAL OFFENCES

A man identified as Darren Daykin, aged 46 and from Southend, has received a prison sentence of 12 years and nine months after being found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl and committing related sexual crimes. The offenses, which include child rape and indecent touching, were carried out in 2014. The court acknowledged the significant impact these crimes had on the victim. In addition to his prison sentence, Daykin will be required to register as a sex offender and is eligible for parole during his term.
