LEVEN MAN ADMITS CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND EXTREME SEXUAL CONTENT INVOLVING A DOG
A 35-year-old man from Leven has admitted to possessing indecent images and videos of children, as well as an extreme image of a woman engaging in sexual activity with a dog.Darren Adam, residing on Coldstream Avenue, appeared via video link from prison at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court to confront his charges.
The court was informed that police had seized a mobile phone during a search of Adam’s home on March 3, 2022, which was found to contain indecent images.
A forensic investigation later revealed that the device contained more than 23 accessible child abuse images, including 22 in Category C and one in Category B, along with two Category C videos.
The images depicted girls aged between seven and 15.
Furthermore, Adam was found to possess an extreme pornographic image showing an adult female involved in sexual activity with a dog.
He pled guilty to possessing this explicit material on March 3, 2022, and also admitted to possessing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children between May 22, 2021, and March 3, 2022.
The court, presided over by Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith, deferred sentencing until November 8 to allow for background reports to be prepared.
Adam will be listed on the Sex Offenders Register before his sentencing, and the length of time on the register will be determined at that time.
