BLACKPOOL MAN JAILED FOR HORRIFIC CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
A man known as Daniel Pritchard from Blackpool has been convicted of 21 sexual offences against five children aged between seven and 14, committed between 2015 and 2021.
The offences include rape, sexual assault, sexual activity with a child, and causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
Pritchard was found guilty after a three-week trial at Preston Crown Court, during which he continued to deny the allegations.
Lancashire Police revealed he befriended the families of the victims before commencing his abuse, which they described as 'sickening' and a 'disgusting chain of abuse.' The court sentenced him to 26 years in prison and imposed a lifelong sexual harm prevention order.
The investigation was initiated in 2021 following reports to the police.
Prosecutors highlighted Pritchard’s manipulative and controlling behavior, noting his targeting of vulnerable children and the lasting impact of his crimes.
The judge described him as a 'sexual predator' who 'preyed on the innocence' of his young victims, with police officials emphasizing the bravery of the children in speaking out against the abuse.
