Daniel Hutchinson, of Alma Close, denied the allegations but was convicted by a jury following a trial.

The woman attempted to feign sleep in hopes that Hutchinson would stop, but he continued until he realized she was awake, at which point he ceased the assault.
On a different occasion during the same year, Hutchinson also committed rape and sexual assault against another woman at his residence.
The trial, held over a week at Cirencester Courthouse, resulted in convictions for two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
Hutchinson was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court on March 8—receiving six years for each rape, to run consecutively, and 54 months for each sexual assault, which were to run concurrently.
His total sentence is 12 years, and he will be on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
The defense argued that the acts were consensual.
The victims voiced their support for the legal process, describing the emotional impact and noting Hutchinson’s absence of remorse.
