LONDON STOCKBROKER SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR RAPE DURING OFFICE PARTY
A stockbroker named Daniel Green from Walthamstow, east London, has been sentenced to six years in prison for the rape of a woman during a drug and alcohol-fueled office party on May 16, 2015.
The incident occurred after Green met the woman at after-work drinks in the City of London, and they went back to the offices of StratX stockbrokers with colleagues.
During the party, the woman, who was tired and lying under a desk intending to catch the train home, awoke to find Green attempting to remove her trousers.
She was subjected to a rape while crying, attempting to resist, and in shock.
She later reported the assault to police.
Green claimed the sex was consensual and that he ceased when she began crying, believing he was causing her pain.
He also insisted his penis was exceptionally large, at 10 inches long and 4 inches in girth.
The Old Bailey jury convicted him of rape by a majority of 11 to 1 after a six-hour deliberation.
The judge noted that Green showed no remorse and remarked that he was behaving in a strange manner after drinking and drug use during the incident.
