ACCRINGTON MAN JAILED FOR VOYEURISM AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
An Accrington man who installed a secret camera to film girls for his sexual gratification has been sentenced to more than six years in prison.Daniel Croasdale, 38, from Westwood Street, admitted to voyeurism, sexual assault, and creating an indecent photograph of a female teenage victim.
He also pled guilty to voyeurism and making an indecent photograph involving another teenage girl.
Croasdale attempted to drug his victim with a sedative in order to sexually assault her.
He was sentenced to a total of six years and six months in prison at Preston Crown Court last week.
Additionally, he is required to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 15 years.
Det Sgt Amy Tattersall stated that Croasdale preyed on the victim, planning his abuse by placing sedative in her drink, and praised the victim's strength and resilience, which contributed to his guilty plea and the subsequent sentence.
