DANIEL CARTWRIGHT IN STRETFORD SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES
A man named Daniel Cartwright, aged 24 and from Stretford, Trafford, was found in possession of over 4,000 indecent images of children.
When questioned by police, he acknowledged the illegal content but explained that it gave him a thrill and that he had an addiction.
Cartwright admitted to downloading the images immediately after officers searched his home in June 2019.
He also revealed to authorities that he watched live streams of children and used an app on his iPad for this purpose.
During the court hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court, it was stated that Cartwright knew his actions were wrong and recognized he would eventually be caught.
During the investigation, police seized five devices, including his phone, iPad, laptop, and two computers, all of which held indecent images of children.
The investigation uncovered a total of 912 Category A images—considered the most serious—alongside 422 Category B images and 3,472 Category C images.
Additionally, police discovered evidence that Cartwright had been sharing an eight-minute video of a live stream, recorded on his iPad, to multiple websites.
Cartwright pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images and one count of possessing an indecent image with intent to distribute.
