MEDWAY DAD AND LONDON BANKER JAILED FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT AFTER MAKING FALSE SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND ASSAULT CLAIMS
A banker has been jailed after he made a “deliberate and wicked” allegation that his manager tried to harass and sexually assault him.
Damilare Ajao from Medway claimed his colleague "flirtatiously" told him she could see his nipples through his shirt, and that he had to slap her hand away as she reached for his Gucci belt.
He brought the claims against the manager, known as Q, to an employment tribunal, but they were dismissed after the court found the allegations to be false and largely fabricated.
The court stated that the acts on which he relied did not happen, and that there was no evidence of harassment.
The case was then sent to the High Court, where Ajao was accused of making false allegations and contempt of court.
Mr Justice Martin Spencer described his claims as a "deliberate and wicked assault" on the manager’s reputation, noting discrepancies and contradictions in his evidence.
On November 7, 2025, Ajao was sentenced to 20 months in prison for serious contempt of court, with the sentence being eligible for early release after serving eight months.
He was also ordered to pay £150,000 towards the bank’s legal costs.
