RAPIST CURTIS PIZZEY ATTACKS WOMAN AFTER RAPE CONVICTION
A rape survivor has expressed her fears that her attacker, Curtis Pizzey, who was previously convicted of a rape in Basildon in 2012, will reoffend after a Norfolk attack.Pizzey, now 30, was jailed last month for assault after grabbing a woman from behind in a Norfolk country lane and attempting to rape her.
The 20-year-old woman managed to fight him off and escape before he was sentenced to 18 weeks in jail.
He is on the sex offenders' register for life.
The first victim, now 23, stated, “I have always known it would happen again because of some of the things that were said in court about him watching rape porn and only serving three years in prison.
It has always been a massive worry for me that he’d do something again and to hear what small sentence he got after attacking the woman in Norfolk is disgusting, and I have no doubt he’ll try and do it again when he comes out.” She recounted her attack in 2012 when Pizzey grabbed her from behind after a night out at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon, dragged her to a wooded area, and assaulted her.
During sentencing, court heard of Pizzey’s unhealthy interest in violent sexual encounters and his planning to carry out further crimes.
His recent victim feared her attack was sexually motivated because it was so physical, and she believed Pizzey would continue to be a predator, especially after his father expressed concern about him watching violent pornography.
Pizzey is on the sex offenders’ register for life.
