CRAIG JENKINS FROM PONTARDAWE EXPOSES HIMSELF IN RHOS PARK NEAR SWANSEA

In March 2022, Craig Jenkins, a resident of Pontardawe, became the subject of serious criminal proceedings after a series of disturbing incidents in Rhos Park, located near Swansea. Jenkins, aged 26 at the time, was observed engaging in highly inappropriate and illegal behavior in broad daylight, which drew the attention and concern of local residents and law enforcement authorities alike.

According to reports presented in Swansea Crown Court, Jenkins was seen on two separate occasions standing naked in the window of his house on March Hywel, which is situated in Rhos. The first incident occurred during lunchtime, when a woman walking her dog noticed Jenkins in a state of undress. She was reportedly so alarmed by his behavior that she responded with a gesture of disgust, sticking her fingers up at him as a sign of her outrage.

The following week, the same woman witnessed Jenkins once again at the window, this time in a more explicit act. She described seeing him hunched over, holding his penis, and engaging in masturbation. These repeated incidents prompted her to report the matter to the police, leading to Jenkins’s arrest on January 20. During police interviews, Jenkins initially denied any involvement, claiming he was innocent of the allegations.

However, the investigation took a darker turn when authorities seized his mobile phone. Examination of the device revealed disturbing content, including two videos and three photographs depicting individuals engaging in sexual acts with animals. This evidence significantly contributed to the case against Jenkins, who was charged with multiple offenses.

At the court hearing, Jenkins pleaded guilty to two counts of exposure and one count of possessing extreme pornography. It was noted that he had no prior convictions, which was considered during sentencing. The court heard that Jenkins had a declared interest in 'granny porn' and 'bestiality,' terms he used himself to describe his preferences.

Judge Geraint Walters addressed the court, expressing his understanding that Jenkins may have initially denied the allegations out of embarrassment. Nonetheless, the judge acknowledged Jenkins’s subsequent honesty in discussing his use of adult pornography and his recent fascination with what he termed 'granny porn.' Based on the severity of the offenses and the guidelines, the judge decided that a community order was appropriate.

Jenkins was sentenced to a three-year community order, which includes mandatory participation in a Horizon sex offenders programme and a rehabilitation course. Additionally, he will be registered as a sex offender for the next five years. The judge emphasized the importance of Jenkins taking full advantage of the order, describing it as highly intensive and crucial for his rehabilitation. The case highlights the ongoing concerns about public safety and the importance of addressing such disturbing behaviors within the community.
