A man has been sentenced to six years in prison after committing a brutal sexual assault in Swindon.

Constantin-Robert Munteanu, aged 46 and residing on Ferndale Road in Swindon, appeared before Swindon Crown Court on a recent Friday to face charges related to his heinous crime.

Munteanu had previously entered a guilty plea to two counts of rape, which significantly influenced the court's sentencing decision.

The incident took place in the quiet hours of the night, specifically shortly before midnight on January 12.
