MAN JAILED FOR 24 YEARS AFTER BEING FOUND GUILTY OF MULTIPLE HISTORIC RAPES AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS
A man has received a sentence of over twenty years in prison after being convicted of numerous historic charges involving rape and sexual assault against two victims.
The case was tried before a jury at Swindon Crown Court, where Nicholas Embling, aged 61 and residing on Herschel Close in Oakhurst, Swindon, was found guilty of several counts of child sexual abuse.
On May 14th, he was sentenced to a total term of 24 years behind bars.
The police became aware of the allegations in 2021, prompting an investigation carried out by Swindon CID.
During the course of their inquiry, officers discovered that Embling had repeatedly raped and sexually abused two women with whom he was known, starting from 2002.
He was then charged with over a dozen offences.
After a jury trial, he was convicted on all charges, with the court handing down the lengthy prison sentence.
