MAN JAILED FOR ABUSING 2 CHILDREN
A man who posed as a teenage boy online and sent sexually explicit messages to two different minors has been convicted and sentenced to prison.Connor Hurn, residing on South Park Road in Maidstone, initiated contact with a 14-year-old girl in January 2022.
Over the following two years, he repeatedly communicated with her, sharing indecent images of himself and insisting that she send similar photos.
After being blocked by the victim, Hurn created fake social media profiles claiming to be 16 years old.
In September 2024, using these profiles, he targeted another 14-year-old girl, pressuring her for more explicit images.
Hurn’s online predation was halted after four days when Kent Police arrested him following reports of his misconduct.
Authorities confiscated his devices and examined their contents, uncovering evidence of additional victims.
At Maidstone Crown Court on 14 May 2026, the 26-year-old Hurn admitted charges including engaging in sexual activity in a minor’s presence, inciting a minor to engage in sexual acts, attempting to engage a minor in such acts, and sending distressing images.
The court sentenced him to six years and eight months in prison.
Furthermore, he received a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
This case highlights the dangers of online grooming and the importance of prompt law enforcement intervention to protect minors.
