COLIN WILLIAMS OF SOUTH SHIELDS SENT TO PRISON FOR BRUTAL ABUSE AND STRANGULATION
A man from South Shields, Colin Williams, aged 43, has been sentenced to prison after a series of violent and controlling acts against his partner, which included physical assault, emotional torment, and various acts of sabotage. The court heard that Williams subjected his partner to a harrowing campaign of abuse that left her both physically and psychologically scarred.According to court records, Williams physically attacked the woman on multiple occasions, with one particularly severe incident occurring last July. During this assault, he strangled her, causing her to fear for her life. The court was also informed that Williams engaged in a range of other abusive behaviors, including slashing her clothing, damaging her electrical sockets, and stripping her of her financial resources. He also prevented her from using her mobile phone, effectively isolating her from communication and support.
