COLIN FINCH FROM ABBERLEY JAILED FOR GROPING 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL NEAR WORCESTER

In a case that has shocked the local community of Abberley, a married man named Colin Finch has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. The incident took place in November of the previous year, during a day when the young girl was given permission to skip school and accompany adults on a pheasant shooting trip near Worcester.

According to court reports, Finch, who resides in Snead Common, Abberley, stopped his vehicle in a rural gateway along the route to the shooting event. It was there that he engaged in inappropriate behavior towards the girl, which included making indecent comments and physically assaulting her by kissing and squeezing her. Prosecutor Susan Cliff detailed that Finch told police he had fantasized about having sex with a virgin, revealing disturbing thoughts that contributed to his actions.

Finch's misconduct was not only a breach of trust but also a serious criminal offense. The young girl confided in a friend about what had transpired, prompting an investigation that led to Finch’s arrest. During the court proceedings, Finch admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the minor, a plea that resulted in his conviction.

Judge Alistair McCreath presided over the case and expressed grave concerns about Finch’s psychological state. He stated, “I have a nagging worry that he has a latent sexual fantasy which he may carry out to the detriment of other children.” The judge also emphasized the severity of Finch’s actions, noting that he viewed the girl as “a mere sexual object” and that her emotional development could be permanently affected by this traumatic experience.
