ELGIN MAN ADMITS DOG CRUELTY AFTER LAUNCHING PET DOWN STAIRS
An individual from Elgin has admitted to the serious act of throwing his pet dog, a collie, down a flight of stairs.According to reports, Clive Vincent-Ellis, aged 52, confessed to having picked up the dog by its scruff of the neck and then dropping it on September 1 of the previous year within his home in Moray.
The incident has raised concerns about animal cruelty, prompting the authorities to consider further sanctions, including a potential ban on owning animals.
During court proceedings, Vincent-Ellis's legal representative stated that his client has 'no intention of caring for any more animals' and is not currently the owner of any.
The case also involved allegations that he swung the dog by its tail and threw it to the ground, claims he denied.
The court has deferred sentencing to a later date to obtain background reports.
All of the dogs previously owned by Vincent-Ellis have now been transferred to the care of the Scottish SPCA, a welfare charity, which confirmed that his pets are now in safe hands.
The prosecution is seeking a banning order to prevent him from acquiring or maintaining ownership of animals in the future.
