WOMAN FINED FOR PUNCHING PARTNER DURING DRUNKEN ROW IN CLACTON
A WOMAN named Claire Chapman, aged 30, has been fined after she was involved in an incident where she punched her partner during a drunken altercation. The incident occurred at her girlfriend’s home in Clacton in November, following a row that involved accusations of infidelity.
During the argument, a sex toy was reportedly thrown at the complainant.
Gareth Hunter, prosecuting at Colchester Magistrates’ Court, explained that the dispute escalated after more alcohol was consumed, with vodka being poured down the sink, leading to further damage and shouting.
This disturbance attracted attention from a neighbor who called the police.
Witnesses stated that Chapman struck her partner twice in the face during the incident.
Chapman admitted to assaulting her then-partner and accepted the police charge.
The magistrates fined her £120, added a £32 victim surcharge, and ordered her to pay £105 in costs.
The relationship was described as over, and Chapman has had no contact with her partner since the incident.
