EX-BOYFRIEND HANDED SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR BRUTAL ASSAULT IN WORCESTERSHIRE
Viktor Fothergill, a 26-year-old bar worker from Birmingham, was left "covered in blood" after he was brutally attacked by his ex-boyfriend, Christopher Nicholls, aged 28, in January 2023.Viktor managed to escape the flat wearing only his underwear, running down four flights of stairs and seeking help after sustaining bloody injuries to his hands.
Nicholls was initially charged with Section 18 wounding with intent but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of unlawful wounding (Section 20 GBH).
He received a suspended 21-month sentence, 150 hours of community service, and a five-year restraining order.
