CHRISTOPHER MOORE FROM WEST LOTHIAN SENTENCED FOR SERIAL RAPE AND ABUSE IN EDINBURGH
A notorious offender from West Lothian, Christopher Moore, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence following a comprehensive investigation by Police Scotland’s specialized rape and domestic abuse unit.Moore, originally from Livingston, was convicted at the Edinburgh High Court of a prolonged and predatory series of sexual assaults, rapes, and domestic violence committed against four women spanning from 2012 to 2020.
The court heard that Moore’s criminal activities involved targeting vulnerable women, many of whom were single mothers in recovery from addiction.
He employed deceitful tactics, adopting false identities and manipulative behaviors to gain their trust.
Once trust was established, he subjected these women to repeated acts of sexual violence and physical abuse, often controlling their lives through intimidation and violence.
One of the earliest known victims was a mother of two, whom Moore groomed in 2012.
