HOLMFIRTH MAN DENIES ASSAULTING PARENTS AND PARTNER AT KIRKLEES MAGISTRATES' COURT
A man named Christopher Doyle has appeared in court accused of assaulting both his parents and his former partner.Doyle, who resides at Berry Croft in Honley, was arraigned before Kirklees Magistrates' Court.
He pleaded not guilty to four charges of assault by beating and an allegation of using violence to secure entry into a premises.
The alleged offenses involving the 32-year-old occurred at the home of his former partner on Miry Lane, Liversedge, on May 27, where he is accused of forcing entry and attacking her.
Doyle claims he did not attend the scene and that the incident was fabricated.
The second set of allegations involve his mother, Susan Doyle, and stepfather, Michael Green, at their home in Holmfirth, on July 3.
Doyle denies any wrongdoing, asserting that Mr.
Green grabbed him by the throat and that he acted in self-defense.
The court plans to review police body-worn footage and the 999 call as evidence during the trial scheduled for January 30.
Doyle is currently on bail with conditions not to contact or attend the addresses of the victims.
