PERVERT SENT EXPLICIT IMAGES OF HIMSELF TO CHILD
A man responsible for sending explicit images of himself to a minor has been sentenced to imprisonment.Christopher Brimstead, aged 31 and formerly residing on Jasmine Close, took the explicit photos using a computer and then forwarded them to a young girl between November 2018 and January 2019.
He also sent her messages containing sexual content, urging her to participate in sexual acts.
The victim reported these incidents in April 2019, prompting police to arrest Brimstead.
He was subsequently charged with engaging in sexual communication with a minor and admitted to the offence during a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.
Last week, he was sentenced to a year in prison.
Following his release, Brimstead will be subject to a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect for ten years.
These orders restrict his internet use and ban him from contacting girls under 16.
Additionally, he will be registered as a sex offender for an indefinite period.
