CHESTER SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR CHILD EXPLOITATION
A man now identifying as Chloee-May Danvers, aged 25 from Chester, has been sentenced to 40 months in prison for being a prolific sex offender involved in multiple criminal activities related to child exploitation.Danvers pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images of children, distributing indecent images, attempting sexual communication with a child, breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), attempting to breach the SHPO, and failing to comply with the sex offenders register.
The case was initiated on July 15 when officers from the Sex Offenders Management Unit visited Danvers’ home on Housman Close, Chester, during routine checks.
During this visit, two Category A indecent images of children were found in a deleted folder on Danvers’ mobile phone.
Danvers admitted to resetting their laptop, which violated the conditions of the SHPO, leading to arrest and charges.
Subsequently, a court appearance on August 13 resulted in a guilty plea.
Further evidence was gathered after the police re-attended Danvers’ address on August 5, seizing a mobile phone that contained messages attempting to sexually communicate with a nine-year-old girl and unregistered social media accounts used to exchange indecent images of children of both Category A and B.
Despite being under conditional bail, Danvers continued offending, and a statement from Detective Constable Stephen Park described them as "a prolific sex offender and an incredibly dangerous individual," expressing support for the sentence.
The officer highlighted that "even after their initial arrest and charge, Danvers continued to offend, accessing illicit materials, and attempting to sexually communicate with children, despite being on conditional bail." The case underscores the ongoing efforts to pursue online child sexual exploitation.
