LOFTUS WOMAN CHLOE SIMPSON SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC ANIMAL AND CHILD ABUSE CASES IN TEESSIDE
Chloe Simpson, a resident of St Hilda’s Terrace in Loftus, was convicted in 2021 of heinous crimes involving both animal and child abuse. The court revealed that Simpson, born around 1997, had engaged in disturbing acts with two dogs, which she documented extensively on her digital devices. Authorities uncovered a shocking collection of 308 images depicting sexual acts involving the two dogs, highlighting the severity of her misconduct.During police raids on her residence, officers found a disturbing array of illegal material. Simpson, who is in the process of transitioning to a man, was found in possession of numerous images and videos that included child abuse content, extreme pornography involving animals, and a prohibited image of a child. The investigation revealed that her devices contained explicit footage of a small white dog being subjected to sexual acts, along with 33 images of extreme pornography featuring horses and dogs.
Further examination uncovered a second laptop containing four Category A images, which involved children aged between seven and ten years old. Additionally, an iPhone belonging to Simpson held a prohibited Category A image. A veterinarian testified that the white dog involved in the abuse had not sustained lasting injuries but was at risk of infection and peritonitis due to the abuse.
Simpson pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possession of child abuse images and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. Her defense, led by Chris Morrison, described her as a vulnerable individual who was the primary carer for her grandmother. Morrison explained that Simpson’s internet activity was primarily limited to her use of iPhones and laptops, which she used to browse the internet. The court heard that Simpson had moved out of her grandmother’s home out of fear of repercussions from what Morrison described as “Neanderthal” individuals.
During the sentencing, Judge Jonathan Carroll dismissed Simpson’s claim that she had no sexual interest in children, stating that her actions and the material she downloaded indicated otherwise. The judge acknowledged her difficult childhood and ongoing struggles with her sexual identity but emphasized the seriousness of her offenses.
As a result, Simpson was sentenced to ten months in prison, suspended for two years. She was also issued a ten-year sexual harm prevention order and a ten-year ban on owning animals, which will expire in June 2031.
In September 2023, Simpson appeared again in court after breaching her suspended sentence by failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements and a sexual harm prevention order. The latest charges related to offenses committed in July 2022, while she was under the suspended sentence. Court proceedings revealed that Simpson had used seven aliases and employed software to delete her internet browsing history after each use over a period exceeding six months.
Simpson fully admitted to the new charges. Recorder Andrew Dallas, presiding over the case, expressed concern about her situation, noting that she was close to being sent to custody but acknowledged her compliance with rehabilitation requirements since the initial offenses. The court considered her potential for rehabilitation and handed her a 12-month sentence, suspended for two years. Additionally, Simpson was ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay a fine of £50. She remains a resident of St Hilda’s Terrace in Loftus, continuing her legal proceedings amidst ongoing efforts for her rehabilitation.
