A retail worker named Chayichan Baburajan, aged 63, is set to stand trial charged with sexually touching a 16-year-old girl in a convenience store.
The incident reportedly occurred when Baburajan approached the teenager in the Best-one shop located on Clacton High Street in September of the previous year.
According to Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court, Baburajan allegedly approached the girl while she was purchasing an ice cream and engaged in sexual assault.
During proceedings, Baburajan, who resides on Nayland Drive, Clacton, denied one charge of sexual assault.
He requested that his case be heard before a jury at a crown court.
He is scheduled to appear before Chelmsford Crown Court on March 21 for a further hearing.
