NORWICH DRUG DEALER CARL THOMAS JAILED FOR COUNTY LINE OPERATION
A drug dealer has been jailed for three years for running a county line in Norwich.
Carl Thomas, 38, of Kett’s Hill, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on February 19 after pleading guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs, and being concerned in the supply of Class C drugs.
The charges stemmed from a raid on January 16 at his property where officers seized a mobile phone and arrested him.
Investigations identified Thomas as the main holder of the drugs line, revealing he supplied crack cocaine, pregabalin, methadone, and cannabis in Norwich between October 10, 2024, and January 17, 2025.
Officers used two mobile numbers to send bulk texts advertising drugs, including messages like “GOT W GOT PREGABS AND A BRAND NEW NOKIA C32 MOBILE IN THE BOX SHOUT ME,” and responses such as “YEH CAN GET U 100MIL FOR A TENNER BRO.” Following his arrest, Thomas was remanded in custody, charged, and later sentenced to three years in prison.
He was also ordered to pay surcharge costs of £228.
The investigating officer, PC Phil Mercer, emphasized ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking in Norwich and Norfolk.
