ABERTILLERY PAEDOPHILE CARL HOARE CAUGHT WITH DISGUSTING RAPE VIDEO IN BLAENAU GWENT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Abertillery and the wider Blaenau Gwent area, Carl Hoare, a 56-year-old resident of Duke Street, was found in possession of a highly disturbing and illegal video depicting the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl.The incident came to light after police received a credible tip-off, prompting a swift investigation and subsequent raid on Hoare’s residence.
During the search of his home in Blaenau Gwent, officers uncovered a six-minute video that has been described in court as 'disgusting' and 'exceptionally unpleasant.' The footage showed a young girl, only 10 years old, being subjected to sexual violence, a revelation that has caused outrage among local residents and advocacy groups alike.
This case is not Hoare’s first encounter with the law concerning child exploitation.
In 2015, he was previously sentenced to a three-year community order after being convicted of possessing indecent images of children.
Despite this prior conviction, he continued to pose a significant risk, as evidenced by the recent discovery of the heinous video.
At Cardiff Crown Court, prosecutor Clare Wilks detailed the severity of the latest offence, emphasizing the repulsive nature of the material involved.
The court heard how Hoare was charged with possessing an indecent Category A image of a child on January 22, 2020.
The judge, Recorder Dyfed Llion Thomas, did not hold back in condemning Hoare’s actions, describing the film as 'disgusting' and 'despicable.' In his sentencing remarks, Recorder Thomas stated, “It was a disgusting film of a 10-year-old child being raped.
It is of an exceptionally unpleasant nature.
You richly deserve custody for such a despicable film.” The judge also pointed out that Hoare’s actions clearly indicated a sexual interest in children, raising serious concerns about his ongoing risk to the community.
As part of his sentence, Hoare was handed a three-year community order.
He is required to complete 29 sessions of the Horizon sex offender programme and participate in a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
Additionally, he must observe a curfew from 8 pm to 6 am for six months.
Hoare is also mandated to register as a sex offender until 2026 and was placed under a five-year sexual harm prevention order to restrict his activities and contact with minors.
Furthermore, Hoare was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £720 and a victim surcharge of £90, reflecting the serious nature of his offences and the impact on the victim and community.
