CHESTER MAN CALUM MACDOUGALL SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES

A 26-year-old man from Chester, identified as Calum Iain MacDougall, has been sentenced to a three-year community order following serious allegations involving the possession of indecent images.

The court proceedings revealed that police discovered these illicit images on his electronic devices, which included explicit content involving children aged between four and fifteen.

In addition to the community order, MacDougall is required to participate in rehabilitation programs and sex offender treatment initiatives as part of his sentence.

He is also mandated to remain on the sex offenders register for a period of five years, reflecting the severity of his offenses.

The court heard that the images and chat logs, which were found during police searches, depicted children in various states of exploitation.

The offenses were committed in early 2016, and since then, MacDougall has moved away from his previous residence in Mold, indicating a possible attempt to evade detection or consequences.

Authorities emphasized the importance of such measures to prevent further harm and to monitor individuals convicted of such serious crimes.
