MAN JAILED FOR THE SEXUAL ABUSE OF A GIRL
A man from East Ayrshire has been imprisoned after committing sexual abuse against a young girl in Southampton.
Brian Wills, aged 51, assaulted the girl, who was under 10 years old, on July 20 of the previous year.
Police were called to respond to the incident.
The girl reported to officers that she had been subjected to abuse by Wills on several occasions spanning from July 2023 to July 2024 in Southampton.
Wills, residing on Hopes Avenue in Dalmellington, was charged with four counts of assault by touching.
He pleaded guilty to these charges at Southampton Crown Court on June 2.
On Monday, July 21, he was sentenced to a term of 3 years and 10 months in prison, a decision made by the same court.
