BRADLEY STEPHENS FROM NORTHFLEET JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGE DOWNLOADS
On June 24, 2010, a disturbing case emerged involving Bradley Stephens, a man from Northfleet, who was sentenced to a year in prison after being found guilty of possessing and downloading a vast collection of child abuse images.The investigation revealed that Stephens, aged 47, had spent several years actively compiling a disturbing library of illicit material, which included thousands of images and numerous hours of videos depicting child exploitation.
Stephens was employed as a butcher at the Morrisons supermarket located on Coldharbour Road in Northfleet.
While the exact duration of his employment at the store has not been publicly disclosed, a company spokesperson confirmed that the matter was being handled according to standard procedures.
The focus of the case was primarily on his criminal activities related to the possession and distribution of indecent images.
Over an eight-year period, Stephens amassed a staggering collection of at least 3,500 images, along with more than 30 hours of video content.
His actions came to light following a police investigation into the possession of illegal material, which led to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.
During the court hearing, Stephens, who resides on Jellicoe Avenue in Gravesend, admitted to 25 charges of making indecent images of children.
Additionally, he requested that six other charges involving extreme pornography be considered as part of his case.
The court ultimately sentenced him to 12 months in prison for his crimes, highlighting the severity of his offenses and the ongoing concern over the proliferation of such material in the community.
