VIOLENT OFFENDER SENTENCED AFTER BREACHING COURT ORDER
Bobby England, a 34-year-old man from Llangunnor, has a history of breaching court orders and engaging in violent conduct.
Despite being issued a two-year protection from harassment order that forbade him from contacting or visiting his ex-girlfriend, he returned to her residence mere weeks later.
On June 9, at Llanelli Magistrates' Court, he admitted assault by beating after headbutting the victim and causing bruising to her arm.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.
Less than a week after the court's decision, he was again at her doorstep, demanding his toolbox shortly after she returned from visiting friends.
He shouted obscenities at her, prompting her to call emergency services.
This led to his arrest, which occurred just 30 minutes after he breached the restraining order.
He received a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for a year, and was ordered to pay £85 in court costs as well as a £154 victim surcharge.
He is also required to wear an electronic tag for six months.
To improve her safety, measures such as repairs to her door and locks, as well as providing her with a panic alarm and additional security, have been implemented.
England's conviction also includes possession of cannabis or cannabis resin.
