BOB GREEN FROM PRESTON AND WIDNES SENTENCED TO NINE YEARS FOR HORRIFIC CHILD SEX ABUSE
In a case that has shocked the local communities of Widnes and Preston, Bob Green, a man with a disturbing history of sexual offenses, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for a series of heinous crimes committed against a young girl.The offences, which spanned several years during the 1970s, involved Green repeatedly assaulting the girl, who was as young as seven years old at the time.
Green, now aged 66, was found guilty of at least 150 separate sexual assaults on the young victim, with the abuse occurring when she was between the ages of seven and nine.

Green reportedly threatened her, saying that if she told anyone about his abuse, he would “dance on her grave,” a chilling warning that underscored the fear he instilled.

It was not until 2014 that the abuse was brought to light, leading to his arrest and subsequent trial.
Last month, a jury found Green guilty of four counts of indecent assault and one charge of gross indecency, following a detailed trial that exposed the full extent of his depravity.
The victim’s statement, read aloud in court, was deeply emotional.
She described Green as a “monster” who had robbed her of her innocence and childhood.
She shared that she continues to suffer from recurring nightmares where a monster comes to get her, illustrating the lasting psychological scars left by his abuse.
In her statement, she expressed the ongoing emotional pain, stating, “This abuse is something I will have to live with until the end of my life.
Growing up being sexually abused makes you feel lost and scared—you live in a world of fear and isolation.” She also revealed that she has undergone counseling and is on antidepressants, but these measures cannot erase the emotional wounds.
Feelings of guilt and shame have haunted her, preventing her from speaking out earlier and adding to her suffering.
Green’s criminal history includes a previous conviction in 2004, when he was jailed for four months after being found guilty of installing a covert camera in a bathroom and making indecent photographs of children.
His latest sentence of nine years reflects the gravity of his recent convictions and the ongoing threat he posed to children and the community.
The court’s decision underscores the importance of justice for victims of such heinous crimes and the need to protect others from individuals like Green.
