2014: SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR 'DIRTY PROTEST' IN POLICE CELL
A sexual offender has been sentenced to prison after an incident involving defecation in a police detention cell.
Benjamin Judge, who resides on Ainsworth Lane in Tonge Moor, failed to report to authorities on August 12, which constituted a breach of his license conditions under a sex offenders order.
On August 21, Judge, aged 21, caused damage to a blanket and defecated inside a police cell, leading to costs of approximately £500 for professional cleaning services.
These actions took place while Judge was serving a suspended sentence for a previous charge of indecent exposure.
He pleaded guilty to all three charges during a court session at Bolton Magistrates Court on August 22 and received a 16-week prison sentence last Friday.
The court ordered eight weeks’ imprisonment to activate his suspended sentence, followed by another eight weeks, to be served consecutively, for the incident involving defecation.
Additionally, Judge was sentenced to four weeks in custody, to run concurrently, for violating the sex offenders' order.
