BARRY SIMPSON OF ELGIN CONVICTED FOR POSSESSING EXTREME BESTIALITY VIDEOS
Barry Simpson, born around 1971 and residing at Innes Court, Lhanbryde, Elgin, Moray, was convicted in 2019 for possessing numerous videos showing extreme bestiality.
Simpson, described as a pervert, pleaded guilty to having in his possession explicit pornographic images depicting adults engaging in sexual acts with animals.
The police obtained a search warrant for his home after reports that an indecent Category A video was uploaded to the internet from his address.
During the search on June 4, 2018, officers confiscated various electronic devices and a hard drive, which contained a significant number of videos related to bestiality.
When questioned by police, Simpson admitted that he had videos stored on his computer, which was located in his living room.
Sentencing was postponed by a month, and Simpson was placed on the sex offenders register in the interim.
The sentencing was scheduled for April 2019; however, the outcome was not reported.
