MAN JAILED FOR EXPOSING HIMSELF TO WOMEN ON TUBE NETWORK
A man who had repeatedly exposed himself to women on a London train, despite having a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) issued against him less than two weeks prior, has been sentenced to prison following an investigation by the British Transport Police (BTP).Ayman Yanoussi, aged 21 and residing on St Johns Road in Newham, appeared at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday, 16 April.
He was sentenced to 14 months in prison after admitting two counts of exposure, violating his SHPO, and possessing cannabis.
The court was informed that on 28 December 2025 at 11:20am, Yanoussi was seated on a bench on the platform at Upminster Bridge Underground station.
A woman nearby observed Yanoussi with his trousers around his ankles, engaging in inappropriate touching.
She attempted to record his actions with her phone for police evidence, but he quickly pulled up his trousers and hid behind a pillar.
He then boarded a District Line train bound for Wimbledon.
Soon after, Yanoussi sat next to another woman and exposed himself.
After she moved away, he sat opposite a third woman, exposing himself to her as well.
As the train neared Elm Park, he repeated this pattern with another woman, prompting several of his female targets to leave the train.
Yanoussi continued his inappropriate conduct by exposing himself on various London trains and touching himself inappropriately until a woman reported his behaviour at 12:51pm.
The train was stopped at Hammersmith Underground station, where Yanoussi quickly fled the scene.
A British Transport Police officer arrived and found Yanoussi waiting at a nearby bus stop.
He was arrested on suspicion of exposure.
During his detention, it was revealed that Yanoussi had been issued an SHPO less than two weeks before, after being sentenced to nine months' imprisonment (suspended for 18 months) for three counts of Upskirting committed in April 2024.
On his way to custody, Yanoussi expressed remorse by banging his head against the van's wall, stating he regretted his actions and used the phrase 'taking the L'.
